OVERVIEW
Motor Vehicle / Traffic Matters
For most people, driving a vehicle is a necessary freedom. Our goal is to minimize
the impact of a traffic violation on your record and protect your right to drive.
Many people do not realize that most serious traffic violations are actually
criminal offenses. In some cases, what a driver believed was simply a traffic
ticket can turn out to have lasting effects on their personal freedom. Many traffic
offenses can lead to serious punishment, such as jail time, in addition to substantial
fines.
If you have been charged with any type of driving violation, from speeding to
reckless driving, you need the representation of a lawyer who is experienced
in handling traffic violations. We have successfully defended hundreds of traffic
violations, and we can help you successfully negotiate the criminal justice system.
We will be at your side through all Court proceedings and hearings. We will thoroughly
investigate your case, speak with witnesses, pursue available discovery, and
formulate a strategy of defense for you. We will advise you of your options and
work with you to achieve a just resolution of the situation you are facing.
POINTS & PENALTIES FOR COMMON TRAFFIC OFFENSES
Real Estate Law
The purchase or sale of real estate involves contractual obligations by the parties
which are usually defined in the Agreement of Sale. Our office represents both
Buyers and Sellers in the residential real estate market. We will review the
Agreement of Sale and propose modifications, if necessary, to protect the interests
of our client. We will also help with selection of a mortgage company, title
insurance company, survey, termite and structural inspection when necessary.
Our clients will be represented at the Real Estate Closing where we will explain
the closing process to the client and handle unexpected emergencies. Payment
for real estate representation is made at the time of the Real Estate Closing
with no retainer required.
Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning & Probate
Bankruptcy
On April 20th, 2005 the bankruptcy reform act was signed into law by President Bush.
This law will go into affect on October 17th, 2005. The reform legislation requires
more from debtors, including pre-filing consultations with an approved consumer
credit counseling service in an attempt to force consumers to pay their debts
outside of bankruptcy. Additionally, in order to file, a debtor needs certification
from that credit counseling agency.
Gay & Lesbian Legal Needs
Now more than ever, it's important that you take the proper legal steps to define
and protect your relationship in the eyes of the law. If you don't, you run the
risk of being shut out of each other's lives -- and the lives of children you
co-parent -- in times of medical, financial or personal crisis.
